We requested a quiet room but got one facing the street!!! Many lights in the hotel seemed off when we checked, indicating a lack of availability or attention to requests!!! It felt a bit neglected.

Great Japanese breakfast!

We really enjoyed our stay at Smile Hotel Nagano! The Semi Double Room was cozy and quiet, perfect for recharging before our adventure. The Japanese breakfast was delightful and energizing, especially before our visit to the beautiful Zenkoji Temple, which was a highlight of our trip.

Street noise was somewhat noticeable.

The cozy Twin Room offered a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Conveniently close to the train station and eateries, it made for an easy start to our adventures. The warm bread at breakfast was a delightful touch that elevated our morning. However, the semi-modernized decor felt a bit outdated, and the noise from nearby streets could be distracting at times. Despite these minor drawbacks, the location and breakfast were definite highlights of our stay.

The hotel was close to the train and we found some great restaurants nearby. Really liked the semi-modern vibe and how clean everything was.

It wasn't exactly cheap but I guess nothing really is these days.

the bed was kinda hard. but the shower had great pressure, the location was super close to the train, and the staff were really friendly! could use more pillows.

We requested a quieter spot but were informed that most rooms were occupied, and it seemed like the lights in many rooms were left off during our stay, leaving the impression that there were more available options, which was frustrating.
